Molybdenum market quotation in China: the molybdenum oxide, ferro molybdenum and molybdenum concentrate prices are unchanged from the previous trading day due to deadlocked supply and demand in the market. Downstream becomes active in inquiry but sellers keep rational in shipments.

In the molybdenum concentrate market, tungsten carbide rod suppliers ferromolybdenum merchants have a higher sentiment to prepare for the stock under active trading in the steel market. However, due to the recent natural disasters, the output of molybdenum concentrate is limited, so the mainstream molybdenum companies are not very active in shipments. At present, many traders are concerned about the release of Chilean molybdenum ore production capacity.

In the ferromolybdenum market, the overall trading activity is still good. With countries actively promoting the development of new energy industries, steel companies’ demand has increased slightly, coupled with the difficulty of finding low-priced sources in the upstream market, traders have strong rised mentality. Buyers in the market of molybdenum chemicals and its products are still very cautious in purchasing. With the strong support of the raw material market, traders have a more stable mentality.
